Importing Demo CMS Content
Sep 2, 2025
The pixfort Plugin allows you to quickly add demo CMS content (like blog posts, portfolio items, help articles, or careers) into your Framer project. This is useful for testing layouts, designing with real content, or kickstarting your site setup.
1. Create a CMS Collection in Framer
Before importing, you need to have a CMS collection in your project:
In the Framer editor, open the CMS panel.
Click + New Collection and create the type of collection you want (e.g., Blog, Portfolio, Careers).
Give it a name and save it.
2. Open the CMS Tab in the Plugin
Open the pixfort Plugin inside your project.
Go to the CMS tab.
Choose the CMS type you want to import:
Blog Posts
Portfolio
Help Articles
Careers
3. Import the Data
Click the Import button next to your chosen CMS.
In the popup window:
Select the CMS collection in your project that should receive the demo data.
Click Import to confirm.
4. What Happens During Import
Any missing fields required by the demo content will be automatically created in your selected collection.
The demo content items will be imported into your project.
You can edit, delete, or replace the imported items just like any other CMS data in Framer.
Best Practices
Use a fresh CMS collection when importing demo content. This ensures that new fields don’t conflict with an existing setup.
Once you’re ready, you can either adapt the demo content or replace it with your real project data.
✅ That’s it! You now have ready-to-use demo CMS content inside your project to help speed up your design and content setup.
